RealWorldEconomics.com.au is an online community for all academic economists and post graduate students and is located in Brisbane, Australia. The goal of the site is to provide a portal to the activities of the real world economists with interests in  economics, particularly econometrics and applied economics.  This site allows us to freely express our opinions, share our research with others, seek the argument and the feedback that helps us refine our work to be the very best that it can be. 

For the general public, RealWorldEconomics.com.au provides a portal to the Working Papers of members and their affiliated organisations. The Research Information provides a snapshot of our current research activities, events, publications, research proposals and offers Economic Policy Advice. The Events Calendar communicates the upcoming economics-related seminars, lectures and training courses that are considered to be of interest to the general public or RealWorldEconomics.com.au members. 

Membership to RealWorldEconomics.com.au is free! Membership provides a Member Blog, a personal web space where we can freely share the latest draft of our current working paper or a picture of our family, friends, our workmates; even our favourite pet. We can Submit News and upload information from our last conference or share the photographs from our last holiday or overseas trip. Our personal blog can initiate Discussion Forums about our current research project and we can use WebLink to direct others to information we consider important to our work. We can even use Post Event to inform others of upcoming economics-related events and we can Tell-a-Friend all about RealWorldEconomics.com.au.
