 Backgrounder:

The Realworldeconomics Happiness Research Project Report is the result of a collaboration between RealWorldEconomics' scientists and the Queensland Government, Department of Tourism Regional Development and Industry.

As part of the QUT Smart Train, which travelled around Queensland between May 12 and June 20, Queensland school children had the opportunity to participate in a live research project that sought to understand what makes them happy. Visitors to the QUT Smart Train were able to engage with a display on Happiness and follow up their visit with a teacher-initiated activity that asked them to complete an online survey.

The research project is led by the RealWorldEconomics' Academic  Professor Paul Frijters from QUT's School of Economics & Finance.
